You keep those savings when you and the required drivers on your policy download and register within 6 days of receiving your welcome text from 鶹Ů Co-Pilot. If we receive the minimum 91 days of data during the policy term, the discount will continue upon renewal.

              No, unlike other telematics programs there is no need to plug in any devices to the your vehicle. This is an app-only program available on Apple and Android smartphones.

                Yes, you can call Customer Service at any time to opt out of the program. The discount will be removed at that time.

                鶹Ů Co-Pilot Mobile App FAQs

                  The app collects information about your driving style and habits, such as your location, speed, acceleration, braking and cornering. See our privacy policy for details.

                    鶹Ů Co-Pilot doesn’t require Wi-Fi. It can leverage the cellular network on your smartphone, but if you are choosing not to use cellular data, you will need Wi-Fi to upload your trips to the app.

                    You have the ability in the app to only “upload trips when in the presence of Wi-Fi” instead of using cellular data. However, the app only uses a small amount of data per hour of driving.

                      You will continue to earn a discount for each policy period the app is active on your device. Removing the app will remove the discount for future policy periods.

                        The telematics app can detect different modes of transportation including planes, trains, buses, etc. You can also correct the setting on a trip from Driver to Passenger if the app mistakenly detects the wrong method of transportation.

                          No. The information gathered focuses on how you drive, which includes when you are using your device while driving. However, we will never collect specific details about contacts, phone calls, text messages, etc.

                            Yes. As long as the app is installed on a mobile phone, the phone is with the policyholder and turned on during trips, it collects driving data.

                              The app has been optimized to use very minimal data. The battery use is also low, even while driving.

                                As long as the app is installed on your phone and the phone is on, you don’t need to take any additional steps. The app detects the start and end of your trips on its own using the phone’s built-in sensors, like a GPS.

                                  The mobile app detects a certain speed and distance to determine when a trip starts. If you believe the trip was captured inaccurately (for example, it says you were driving when you were not), you can change this in the app.

                                    On occasion, not all trips will be collected. Low battery and lack of mobile coverage may result in incomplete or missing trips.

                                      If 鶹Ů Co-Pilot is not hearing from the app often enough, they may send you instructions to re-install the app or check the settings.
                                      If the app is deleted before they receive the minimum number of days of data collection, the discount will be removed at renewal.
